Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21/06/2026
We'll keep this in plain English — no forty-page document written so you give up halfway. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
Who we are
EDM:ME ("we", "us") is an independent artist-sovereignty project. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hi@edmme.world and a real person will deal with it.
What we collect — and only when you hand it over
- When you join our list: your email address, and your first name if you give it. You do this knowingly, by filling in a form and confirming the email we send you.
- When you use the contact form: your name, email address, where you are in your journey and whatever else you choose to share with us.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and stability.
We don't collect anything you haven't chosen to give us.
The peaks tool
The peaks generator runs entirely inside your browser. Your audio file never leaves your device, never reaches our server, and is never stored. We couldn't see it if we wanted to.
Why we hold what we hold
- Your email is on our list because you asked it to be — that's your consent, and you can withdraw it any time.
- Your contact-form details are kept only so we can reply to you.
That's the entire list of reasons.
What we will never do
We will never sell your data. We will never rent it, share it, or hand it to data brokers, ad networks, or anyone buying lists. No "trusted partners." This is the whole point of EDM:ME — if we extracted from you, we'd be the exact thing we tell artists to walk away from.
Who helps us run things
A few tools process your data so we can operate. They handle it on our behalf; they don't own it:
- MailPoet — runs our email list, inside our own site.
- Our host (20i / StackMail) — stores the site and sends our email.
That's it.
How long we keep it
Until you tell us to stop. You can either use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the emails, or request deletion of your details via email. We don't hoard data for the sake of it.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data law you can see what we hold, correct it, delete it, take a copy with you, or withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email hi@edmme.world — and every marketing email also carries a one-click unsubscribe.
Cookies
We keep these to a minimum — only the essentials needed to make the site work.
Changes
If this ever changes, we'll update the date above. We won't quietly expand what we collect.
Questions about any of it? hi@edmme.world.
